to promote her petition for new California Beauty Queen
PALM SPRINGS, CA Nov. 1, 2009 - In efforts to support the LGBTQ community and raise awareness of her petition to become the next Miss California, Youtube.com superstar, Secretia Collins, known for the hit online reality show she shows from her trailer, will be participating in the 2009 Palm Springs Pride Festival and Parade, taking place on November 7–8, 2009.

Secretia Collins will join marchers, festival headliners and celebrity Grand Marshal, Cleve Jones, in the parade to demonstrate the power of pride to festivity onlookers. To further demonstrate the strength of pride, Ms. Collins will also be drumming up support for her latest social initiative, a petition to become the next Miss California USA.
Since, according to Ms. Collins, the former Miss California USA Carrie Prejean has been "defrocked, dethroned and desanitized", and "in these ugly and perilous times [especially for the LGBT community in the fight for marriage equality], isn't it time to replace an opportunistic and homophobic beauty queen with a real queen [who will represent the LGBT community]?"
Secretia Collins was born Norma Jean Bakersfield in a trailer park just two doors down from Hillary Swank and behind a meth lab once frequented by Rev. Ted Haggard's gay hooker. Barely out of diapers, Ms. Collins was given the nickname "Secretia" because her mother said that she was just so full of it that she oozed and left a stain wherever she landed. Little Secretia spent hours watching TV, but quickly realized that strong role models of the international sensation persuasion were sorely lacking on the small screen [there were none], so she set out to Hollywood to change that and make a difference.
